Research Interests
As a neuroscientist that has focus on pain and inflammation, i have quite an interest in research deciphering the mechanisms of pain and inflammation. Studying pain and inflammation helps to understand how the nervous system processes and perceives pain, how it becomes sensitized during injury or disease, and how inflammation can either protect or worsen pain. By investigating these processes, neuroscientists aim to develop better treatments for chronic pain, inflammatory disorders, and neurological diseases where pain and inflammation are significant symptoms, such as arthritis, migraines, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. Understanding this relationship is key for developing targeted therapies to alleviate pain and manage inflammation more effectively.
